Privacy Policy for GraphyText
Effective Date: 15 July 2026
GraphyText.com (“we”, “us”, or “our”) built the GraphyText app as a free art and design application. This Privacy Policy explains what information GraphyText collects, how it is used, how it is stored, and the choices available to users.
1. Information We Collect
GraphyText does not knowingly collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, contact lists, advertising identifiers, precise location, IMEI numbers, or other information intended to directly identify a user.
To understand how the app is used and to improve its reliability, GraphyText may collect the following limited technical and anonymous usage information:
- A randomly generated anonymous installation identifier.
- App version and platform.
- Device manufacturer and model.
- Operating system and operating system version.
- The date on which the app is used.
- The number of app sessions during a day.
- Total active time spent using the app during a day.
- Feature and layer usage counts, such as Background, Gallery, Camera, Graphical Text, Icons, Classic Text, 2D Drawing, 3D Drawing, Framing, Final Touch, and video effects.
- Action counts, such as whether the user successfully downloads a creation, opens the sharing screen, starts or completes a recording, stops a recording early, or uses MP4/video effects.
- Technical crash information, including exception details, app version, device model, and operating system version.
The anonymous installation identifier is generated by the app and is used only to distinguish one installation from another for statistical purposes. It is not based on the user’s name, email address, phone number, advertising identifier, or hardware serial number. Reinstalling the app may create a new anonymous identifier.
User-created content
User-created content, including graphical text, classic text, drawings, photographs, selected media, recordings, and saved creations, remains on the user’s device unless the user chooses to save, share, or otherwise export it. GraphyText does not upload this creative content to our analytics storage.
Microphone and camera
GraphyText may request access to the microphone when the user chooses to record a creation with microphone audio. It may request access to the camera when the user chooses to take a photograph. These permissions are used only for the feature selected by the user.
2. How We Use Information
We use the collected technical and anonymous usage information to:
- Measure how often the app is used.
- Estimate average daily active usage time.
- Understand which GraphyText layers and features are most useful.
- Understand whether users save, share, or record their creations.
- Improve app design, performance, stability, and usability.
- Identify and fix crashes, errors, and device-specific problems.
- Plan future features and prioritize improvements.
We do not use anonymous analytics to create advertising profiles, track users across unrelated apps or websites, or determine the content of a user’s creation.
3. Sharing and Downloading
When a user presses the Share button, GraphyText may record that the device’s share screen was opened. Android or another platform may not always confirm whether the user completed the share, which app was selected, or who received the shared content. GraphyText does not collect the recipient’s identity.
When a user downloads or saves a creation, GraphyText may record that the save operation completed successfully. The saved image or video itself is not included in analytics.
4. Recording Analytics
GraphyText may record anonymous counts showing whether a recording was started, completed, or stopped early, and whether standard screen drawing or PixelCopy-based recording was used. This information is used to improve the recording feature. The recorded video or microphone audio is not uploaded as part of analytics.
5. Data Storage and Service Providers
Anonymous analytics and crash reports may be transmitted securely over the internet and stored using Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), or related AWS services used to receive and store the data.
AWS processes and stores this information on our behalf as a service provider. AWS may process technical information according to its own privacy and security practices.
We do not sell or rent user information. We may disclose information only when required by law, to protect the security and integrity of GraphyText, or to service providers that process information on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
6. Data Retention
Anonymous analytics and crash reports are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to analyse app usage, maintain security, improve GraphyText, and resolve technical problems. Aggregated statistics that no longer relate to an individual installation may be retained for longer.
Pending analytics may be stored temporarily on the user’s device until they can be uploaded successfully. Failed uploads may be retried when the app is used again and an internet connection is available.
7. User Choices
Where GraphyText provides an analytics setting, users may disable optional anonymous usage analytics through the app’s settings. Disabling optional analytics does not prevent users from creating, saving, sharing, or recording content.
Essential crash or security information may still be processed where reasonably necessary to keep the app reliable and secure. Users may also contact us to ask questions about the information collected by GraphyText.
8. Children’s Privacy
GraphyText is intended for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect names, contact information, precise location, advertising identifiers, or user-created content from children through analytics.
Anonymous feature counts are designed to describe app usage rather than the identity or creative content of a child. Parents or guardians who believe that a child has provided personal information may contact us at support@graphytext.com. We will investigate and delete personal information when required.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
10. International Data Transfers
AWS and other infrastructure providers may process or store information in countries other than the user’s country of residence. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to use services and safeguards designed to protect the information during such transfers.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page, and the effective date shown at the top will be updated. Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
